Women Being Fabulous

The life of all new ventures and publications are plagued by teething blues, and we haven't been spared, thanks to technical issues (read internet downtime and load-shedding), because of which we were unable to publish last month's issue.

But we're back this month with a bunch of great features that feature women being fabulous, expressing their talent, overcoming discrimination, and going on to contribute to society.

From Naaree of the Month, psychologist and healer, Sonia Mackwani, who focuses on expanding our consciousness, to entrepreneur, Dr. Manjula Jagatramka, who overcame the discrimination associated with leucoderma to help underpriviliged women generate income, to Sohini Chakraborty, who's organisation, Sanved, helps children of prostitutes express themselves and heal through dance therapy.

And even though issues, like female foeticide, throw us back to the dark ages, Indian women continue to grow and expand their influence and feel freer than ever to express their fabulous selves.

Here's hoping your Diwali celebrations were wonderful and wishing you a Happy and Prosperous New Year.
