Are our cities safe for women in India? With the growing incidence of muggings and attacks on women in local trains, even a "safe" city like Mumbai doesn't feel so safe any more.
But there's a lot you can do to protect yourself. Like travel only in a crowded compartment at night. And make sure you have someone to drop you home after a party.
