INGREDIENTS
- 6 Bread Slices (Brown or White, as per your choice)
- 1/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/4 Cup Curd
- 1 Small size Grated Capsicum
- 1 Medium Size Grated Carrot
- 1 Medium Size Finely Chopped Onion
- 2 Tbsp Rice Flour
- 1 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
- 1/4 Tsp Chili Flakes
- 1 Finely Chopped Green chilli
- 1 Tbsp Finely Chopped Coriander
- Salt to Taste
DIRECTIONS
- In a mixing jar, add bread pieces as shown in the video.
- Grind it for a minute or two and transfer the content to a bowl.
- Now to this bowl add all-purpose flour, rice flour, grated carrot, capsicum, onion, chilli flakes, chopped green chillies, and finely chopped coriander leaves, salt to taste, curd, and now mix well all the ingredients. Later add tomato ketchup.
- Add water accordingly and keep mixing it with the spoon nicely. The consistency of the batter should be similar to that of Uttapam.
- Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick-griddle and grease it with oil.
- Put 1 and a half spoonful of batter on to the tava. Tap it to spread it wide on a tava, the size can be to your liking.
- Let the one side cook on low-medium heat, you will observe the colour change and see that the one side has cooked.
- Sprinkle oil and flip it over gently.
- Press it gently to cook evenly.
- Let it cook for a few seconds.
- Transfer it on a plate and serve.
Grate cheese; slide a scoop of tomato ketchup and or homemade green chutney. Eat as many as you want and serve these desi pancakes to your brunch or when the hunger strikes.
2. Tomato Tadka Khichdi Recipe
Kichdi is one of the most popular Indian food recipes and is quick and easy to make.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Cup Cooked Plain Khichdi
- 2 Finely Chopped Tomatoes
- 1/4 Cup Curd 2
- 1 Tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1/2 Tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 Tsp Cumin seeds
- 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 1/4 Tsp Asafetida
- 2 Tbsp finely chopped Coriander
- Salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
- Heat a pan and add oil.
- Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds.
- Once the seeds pop, add the cumin seeds, asafetida, turmeric, chopped tomatoes and sprinkle salt to taste.
- After a minute or two add red chilli powder and cooked Khichdi.
- Mix all the ingredients well.
- On a low flame add chopped coriander leaves and curd.
- Mix well and quickly to avoid coagulation of curd.
- Let it cook for 1 minute.
- Turn off the flame and the tangy Khichdi is ready to be served.

3. Poha Recipe – Kanda Batata Poha

INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ Cup Flattened Rice (Poha)
- 1 Medium size Finely chopped Onion
- 1 Medium size Finely chopped and boiled Potato
- 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Sesame seeds
- 1/4 tsp Asafetida
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 2 tbsp Peanuts
- 2 tbsp Powdered Sugar
- 1 ½ tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2-3 Green Chilli
- 1 tbsp Coriander
- Salt to Taste
DIRECTIONS
- Heat a steel vessel and then add oil to it.
- Once the oil is hot, on low medium flame add peanuts.
- Roast it for 2 minutes.
- Take it out in a plate.
- Now add mustard and jeera seed, wait for it to pop up. Now at this stage add asafetida.
- Next add sesame seed, chopped green chillies, curry leaves, and finely chopped onions.
- Add salt and mix well.
- Cook for 2 minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, boiled potatoes, and mix well.
- Empty the bowl with flattened rice into the tempering, sprinkle red chilli powder, salt to taste and cook on low- medium flame.
- Sauté Poha for 1-2 minutes.
- Squeeze in some fresh lemon on top of it along with powdered sugar (optional) and chopped coriander leaves.
- Last but not least, add the roasted peanuts. Voila!

- 4 Cup Murmura
- 1 Medium size Finely Chopped Tomato
- 1 Medium size Finely Chopped Onion

- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Lemon juice
- 1-2 Sliced Green chilli
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 8-10 Curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp Chaat masala
- 1 tbsp Coriander
- Salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
- In a large mixing bowl add murmura to it. Add water to it, gently turn it over with hand or spoon and strain it.
- Heat a kadhai and add oil to it.
- Add peanuts on low medium flame sauté it for few seconds.
- In the same kadhai, lower the flame first, add cumin seeds, asafetida, and green chillies and curry leaves. Sauté for 15-20 seconds.
- Add onions, ¼ tsp salt and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add tomatoes and cook until they are soft.
- Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chaat masala and lastly the soaked and murmura.
- Mix well; add salt to taste, squeeze in some lemon.
- Switch off the flame and next add the sautéed peanuts and transfer into a serving bowl.
